Natural colours are based on colouring materials found in nature. Typical colours are such as anthocyanin (E-163), beta-carotene (E-160a), carmine (E-120), copper-chlorophyllin (E-141) and caramel colour (E-150d). The use of these natural colours is determined by the EC Colour Directive. All colours have E-numbers.
